Coca-Cola League > Livermore in shock Hull City switch
Published: 2006-08-01 20:09:07
Leeds United midlfielder David Livermore has sensationaly left Elland Road, less than a fortnight after singing from Millwall
Leeds have since landed Kevin Nicholls from Luton Town and with another player en route to the club, Livermore has been deemed surplus to requirements less than 2 weeks after signing.
With Livermore unlikely to see much playing time at Elland Road, Hull City have closed in on the 26-year-old midfielder and landed his services for an undisclosed fee.
"At the time of signing David, Kevin Nicholls and another potential midfield target weren't available to us," read a statement on the club's official website.
"We then managed to acquire Kevin Nicholls and things have now opened up on another target. If everyone is fit, he (Livermore) is unlikely to play.
"He's an honest professional and when the opportunity came up for him to talk to Hull we gave him that choice."
